How long will the shoot take?
Our shoots are normally 45 mins
What should I expect during the shoot?
We approach your shoot with a very relaxed and casual way. We often try and create games or conversations with the kids to distract them from the process of the shoot. If you ask the kids to sit and smile for the camera – they wont!! But if you ask them what their favourite animal is or ‘do giraffes wear gumboots?’ this creates opportunities for us to grab happy, funny expressions and interact with their enjoyment. The main thing to remember is that what we see through our lenses and what you see with your own eye, are two very different things. Also, a picture is shot within a split second, so you might think your child is ‘not co-operating’ when actually, we know we have fabulous pictures already. Basically, relax, enjoy your kids, and let us do what we do best.
Where do you do the shoots/?
Our shoots are shot outdoors in a park Malvern East.
What happens if it rains on the day of an out-door shoot?
If we feel the conditions are unpractical for shooting, we call you ASAP in the morning of the shoot to postpone to another day.
Do you shoot color or black & white?
We show you both.
What if I can’t make it on the day of the shoot or my child is sick?
If for what ever reason you can’t make it, we ask that you call the studio AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, we can then reschedule another date and time.
What if my child scratches or marks his face before the shoot?
Small marks and scratches can be removed in digital post production. Most retouching of this nature is included in the price of the image but more extensive retouching work may incur an additional charge.
Should we bring food to the shoot?
Bring food to the shoot as a last resort only. We never use food as a prop or produce it at the beginning, as a baby may drool or older children may hold the food to their mouths for a good part of the shoot.
